VACANCIES FOR URGENT RECRUITMENT: SHORT TERM RESEARCH ASSISTANTS IN SELECT STATES
SERAP is a duly registered leading anti-corruption and good governance NGO in Nigeria. Part of our mandate is to regularly collect evidence on citizen’s experience with corruption in the public sector.
SERAP is in the process of commissioning a national wide survey on corruption. We are seeking to recruit field research assistants to support this exercise. The research assistants will be hired specifically for this short-term assignment.
Duties and Responsibilities
– Participate in a one-day data collection/ research methodology workshop
– Conduct oral interviews using the provided research tools
– Accurately recording the responses as per instruction issues
– Under the guidance and supervision of the relevant SERAP staff, conduct basic quality control on the research materials
– Any other duties as may be allocated by the relevant SERAP staff regarding this assignment.
Minimum requirements:
Be a current university student or a fresh graduate from a recognized local university studying Arts / Social Sciences / Humanities or any other relevant course.
-Not currently engaged in any other part or full-time employment
-Fully available for a period of about ten days starting mid-November 2018
-Generally conversant with the geography and local language(s) of the chosen state
– The data collection will be conducted in many of the states in Nigeria. In your application, please identify the state you would wish to be posted/assigned. Please note preference will be granted to residents of the select states.

SERAP is in the process of commissioning a national wide survey on corruption. We are seeking to recruit field research assistants to support this exercise. The field research supervisors will be hired specifically for this short-term assignment.
The supervisors will be in charge of a group of research assistants in a set of states. They will be expected to travel widely across these states to coordinate the data collection exercise.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Participate in a one-day data collection/ research methodology workshop
-Coordinate the delivery of research materials to research assistants in the specified region/ states.
-Supervise the data collection exercise to ensure adherence to the laid down procedures and guidelines
-Conduct basic filed level quality control on the research assistants’ work
-Collect, safely handle and forward all finished research materials to the relevant SERAP staff.
-Any other duties as may be allocated by the relevant SERAP staff regarding this assignment.
Minimum requirements:
-Minimum relevant University degree
-Demonstrable experience in supervising research assistants
-Not currently engaged in any other part or full-time employment
-Fully available for a period of about 15 days starting mid-November 2018

URGENT CALL FOR APPLICATION FOR SHORT TERM DATA ENTRY AND PROCESSING CLERKS POSITION
SERAP is in the process of commissioning a national wide survey on corruption. We are seeking to recruit data entry clerks to support this exercise. The clerks will be hired specifically for this short-term assignment.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Serializing of Questionnaires
-Data Coding.
-Data Entry (Both quantitative and qualitative)
-Data Cleaning.
The applicant must possess the following minimum qualifications-
– A minimum of a bachelor’s degree qualification
-Training and competency to handle and process data using SPSS
-Be proficient in MS programs especially MS Word and MS Excel
-Minimum two years’ experience in data entry in a reputable research institution
-Ability to work with minimal supervision
-Ability to work within a team environment
The data entry work will be conducted within our offices in Lagos, residents of Lagos are therefore highly encouraged to apply.
NB: The successful candidates must be available for an uninterrupted period of 1 month beginning last week of November 2018
