Court grants SERAP leave to compel CBN Gov. to Disclose details of COVID-19 spending

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday November 30, 2020 granted SERAP the permission to pursue our case seeking to compel the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria [CBN] to disclose details of COVID-19 donations received, list of donors, details of spending of the donations, etc.

The Motion on Notice is to be filed within 7 days, and the CBN must respond to the suit within 30 days of being served. Hon. Justice I.E Ekwo (COURT 5) has adjourned the case for hearing of the substantive suit.

The suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/1456/2020 is filed by Socio – Economic Rights And Accountability Project [SERAP] and Human and Environmental Development Agenda [HEDA]
