Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project(SERAP), in conjunction with LEAP Africa , Lagos State Civil Society Partnership for Development (LACSOP) , Centre for Citizens with Disabilities(CDD), and Women Liberation and Transformation Group(W-LIT) recently held a two-day training workshop on the effective mechanism for promoting accountability for social protection in Lagos State.

At the training workshop funded by the European Union Agents for Citizens Driven Transformation(EU_ACT) , civil society organisations including women groups and Persons with Disabilities(PWDs) had a group discussion and shared plans of action to improve citizens’ participation in the fight against corruption and efforts to ensure accountability in the Lagos state’s social protection policy.

Participants at the training workshop were urged to engage in advocacy within their constituencies so as to bridge the gap in the social protection policy in Lagos State.
