Survey on Access to Information, Data and Digital Rights in Nigeria

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) is carrying a research on the access to information, data and digital rights in Nigeria. This project is aimed at promoting an appreciation of data and digital rights in Nigeria in terms of awareness of what the rights entail and accountability on the part of the government and its various regulating bodies.

This research project analyses data protection and digital rights in Nigeria with respect to recent global and national developments in the digital and data landscape. The study focuses on investigating relevant policies, regulations, and laws concerning cyberspace, information technology, and digitization in Nigeria. The research aims to determine the impact of these regulations on human rights within the digital space.

  • Participation in the survey is voluntary and not for any form of financial gratification or favours.
  • All information gathered in this survey shall be analysed with other data and used for research purposes only.
